In Loving Memory of
Barbara Ann Ritter Brown
May 20, 1948 – July 22, 2026
With deep sorrow, we announce the passing of Barbara Ann Ritter Brown, who departed this life peacefully at her home on July 22, 2026, following a courageous two-year battle with cancer. She met her final days with the same grace and resilience that defined her beautiful life.
As the eldest of six children born to William E. Ritter and Elizabeth J. Judd Ritter, Barbara held a foundational place in her family.
Her memory will be forever cherished by her devoted husband, Gary F. Brown, and her daughters, Virginia, Vickie, Dallas, and Crystal. Her gentle spirit lives on through the vibrant laughter of her numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren, who represent her greatest joy.
Barbara’s hands were always extended to those in need, offering quiet strength and dedicated service at the Saguaro Jane food bank in Wittmann.
A true friend to nature, she created a sanctuary of love for creatures great and small, from horses and pot-bellied pigs to rabbits and faithful dogs.
A master of crochet, she wove warmth and beauty into the world, transforming simple yarn into intricate doll clothing, treasured stuffed animals, and heirloom blankets that will comfort her family for generations to come.
