Ernest E J Faulkner, a beloved father, grandfather, and friend, passed away peacefully on January 4th 2025 at the age of 77. Born in England, he moved to the United States later in life, where he would go on to live a life full of passion, adventure, and joy.
While Ernie spent many years living a life of quiet solitude, he found his way back to family in the most unexpected of ways—through a phone call with his granddaughter in 2024. After years of estrangement, that conversation marked a bittersweet reunion, allowing family to reconnect with a man whose life had been shaped by his love for drag racing, cowboy culture, and his culinary talents. He was as comfortable behind the wheel of a race car as he was whipping up a meal in the kitchen, often sharing stories of his adventures with anyone willing to listen.
One of the most important relationships in Ernie’s life was with his loyal dog, Rylie. The bond between them was inseparable, and Rylie brought Ernie a sense of comfort and companionship in his later years.
His spirit, resilience, and love for life will be remembered fondly.
Rest in peace, you will forever be in our hearts.
