Jerry E. Marks, 84, of Sparks, Nevada passed peacefully from this life at his daughter’s home in Wickenburg, Arizona on September 15, 2020 after a long and courageous battle with cancer. Aside from his family and animals, Jerry had a love of fishing that he enthusiastically shared with his sons, son in-law, grandkids, and brothers. They created many memories during those times. To his daughters he was a quiet and gentle soul who always looked for the best in them. They knew they were loved and cherished. To his sons he was the greatest dad, best friend, mentor, and fishing buddy!
Jerry was born on July 10, 1936 to Edward and Ina Mae Marks in Spokane, Washington. He moved many times throughout his life and finally settled in Sparks, Nevada.
Survived by his four daughters Kellie Marks of Arizona, Katrina (Kris) Cornett of Oregon, Pamela Marks of Michigan, Stacy Sibbald of Nevada, and sons Billy and Ronnie DeRushe of Nevada. He had sixteen grandchildren and eleven great- grandchildren. He also leaves behind two brothers, Larry and Skip and several nieces and nephews who loved him greatly! He was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers, two sisters, and daughter Cynthia.
A celebration of life will be held in the spring of 2021 at Jerry’s favorite fishing spot.
