Lois was born in Central City, Penn and moved to Ohio at the age of 12. In Ohio, she was a stay at home mom for 30 years until 1985 when she moved to Arizona. She lived in Wickenburg until her death.
She had a few odd jobs until going to work for the Wickenburg CAP Office and retired from at the age 62. After retirement she enjoyed being with her grandchildren and going to bingo with her best friend Lola Ellis every Thursday night at the elks lodge. She loved going to country kitchen for coffee and to do crossword puzzles from the Wickenburg Sun newspaper.
She is preceded in death by her parents John Harrison Snyder and Mini Riblet Snyder, her sisters Shirley Prather, Marlene Finegan, and Donna Shaw, and her granddaughter Brianna Kay Tharp. She is survived by 5 children Jeff Snyder (Judy), Stacey Isle (John) Juli Gillis, Paul Gillis (Judith), and Ellen Hines (Robin Stotz). She has 9 grandchildren, 27 great grandchildren and 8 great, great grandchildren, whom she loved dearly.
