Robert J Gombos, 78, passed away at his residence on 2/20/21 after a lengthy illness. Robert was born in Cleveland, Ohio and fulfilled his dream of retiring in Wickenburg, Arizona in 2005. He is preceded in death by his Father George and Mother Mary, his sister-in-law’s Marian and Barbara, and his brother-in-law’s Raymond and Lawrence.
He is survived by his beloved wife Diana, brother George (wife Linda), sister Mary Jane (Husband Lanny), children Sharon, Robert (wife Rachelle), Theresa and Judith and dog Oliver. He also leaves behind his 5 grandchildren Nichole, Kristen, Robert, Jessica and Jordan and 3 + 1 on the way great-grandchildren Aubrella, Alex, Bryson and due July 2021 baby girl Raelynn. He also leaves behind many cousins, nieces, and nephews.
Robert enjoyed trapping, fishing, camping, gardening but mostly being with his family. He always had a smile on his face, willing to lend a helping hand and always went out of his way to make people happy. He always had a positive outlook, a love for life and all its beauty, and the patience of a saint. Anyone who knew him, he touched their soul. He will be greatly missed.
In lieu of flowers the family is asking for a tree to be planted in his honor, or a donation can be made to the Michael J Fox Foundation or Parkinson’s Disease Research.
