Ruben Lee Defoor Obituary

Ruben Lee DeFoor, 89, peacefully entered eternal rest on June 5, 2026, in the comfort of his home in La Paz County, Arizona.

Ruben was born on May 22, 1937, to Rube R. DeFoor and Grace Lee Herrin and was lovingly raised by his father, Rube, and Pauline DeFoor, who played an important role in his upbringing. Ruben later married Ann Hodnett DeFoor, and together they welcomed three daughters.

A hardworking and dedicated man, Ruben spent the majority of his life as a semi-truck driver. The open road suited his independent spirit, and he valued the discipline, experiences, and scenery that came with it. He also held a lifelong fascination with aviation, always being drawn to airplanes and the wonder of flight.

Ruben was known for his quick wit and sharp sense of humor. He always seemed to have a comeback for everything, often leaving family and friends laughing with his clever remarks and unforgettable one-liners. His humor, wisdom, and unique perspective on life will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

Ruben is survived by his brother, Tom E. DeFoor; his three daughters, including Lisa Hydrick and Chelsea McClintock; as well as his grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews, all of whom will cherish his memory and hold him close in their hearts.
