Sharon Annette Barnes

Sharon Annette Barnes, 83, a 55-year resident of Wickenburg, Arizona, peacefully went into the loving embrace of her Lord & Savior, Jesus Christ on March 7, 2024. She was joyfully reunited with her husband Stewart Barnes, sons Chris and Scott Barnes, mother Kathryn Eakins and sister Charlene Peck. Sharon is survived by her children Steve Barnes, Deeann Rathmann, Jobe Conrad and brother Frank Eakins. Sharon cherished her role as a mother and was blessed with 8 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren. Born on September 1, 1940, in Ottumwa, Iowa, Sharon moved to Arizona at an early age. After graduating from nursing school in Iowa, Sharon dedicated over 40 years to the healthcare industry. She served tirelessly at Wickenburg Hospital and Nursing Home, Del Webb's Geriatric Wing, and concluded her illustrious nursing career at Remuda Ranch Behavior Health Facility. Sharon's passion for caring for others was evident in her lifelong commitment to helping and loving those in need. In retirement, Sharon found fulfillment in sewing for others, demonstrating her unwavering generosity and compassion. A devout Christian, Sharon was an active member of Wickenburg Bible Fellowship, under the guidance of Pastor Rod Hackett. She was known for her deep love for the Lord, her fervent prayers for her family, church, friends, community, and her dedication to teaching women's Bible classes. Sharon's legacy of compassion, faith, and service will forever be remembered by those whose lives she touched. She leaves behind a profound impact on her community and a lasting imprint on the hearts of all who knew her. A celebration of Sharon’s life will be held at David’s Desert Chapel on May 18th at 2pm, officiated by Pastor Rod Hackett.
